Please join Patagonia Cambridge in their first event since before the pandemic! We are welcoming Bootstrap Compost, who will be giving us a comprehensive look at the composting process and its connection to our climate. Through both hands-on demonstration and visual presentation, we will dive into climate history and how we have arrived at the present-day crisis. This workshop will provide a vital understanding of how to use composting on any scale to create a meaningful impact in our fight against food waste and climate change. Learn how your composting benefits our community and the planet! Doors will open at 6:000 and presentation will be from 6:30-7:30pm
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are limiting space to this event and ask that you register for the safety of our community and staff. Registration is required for EACH attendee (please don't bring a guest if they haven't registered!). Click the RSVP button at the top of this page to sign up.
If sign ups are full, click the 'Add To Waitlist' button and you will be notified if someone cancels.
Bootstrap Compost is an organization that tries to maximize its social impact alongside profits. Not only do they provide easy neighborhood compost pick up, but they also frequently speak at schools, conferences and companies about sustainable resource management and social entrepreneurship as part of their mission “to give back to the community what [they] take from the community.”
Event speaker, Aaron, has been working in the sustainable agriculture industry for the past 5 years. Composting has become his passion as he seeks to create a bridge between our wasted agricultural and food resources and the need to sequester carbon emissions through soil regeneration.
